About me and my practice

I provide a warm inviting environment to explore your difficulties. I'm aware that one approach doesn't fit all so am integrative working from a base of genuineness, acceptance and empathy. I am a professionally qualified counsellor with over a decade of experience. I offer face to face and online sessions from my counselling room in Burton-on-Trent.

Outline of offer

I will work with you to reduce your use and stabilise your wellbeing. This will all be done with your goals in mind. And eventually if you wish to achieve abstinence. I'm aware that there may need to be additional services involved and will work with you in achieving this. I bring a wealth of experience and a multimodal approach to helping you, knowing that we are all individuals so the approach needs to be tailored to you. i also offer psychosocial educational sessions to aid with maintaining recovery.

Experience

I have 15 years experience within the care sector as well personal experience and professional qualifications that I bring to my practice. The experience ranges from supporting people in rehabilitation centres through to counselling people with their addiction. I have also worked with charities providing addiction counselling to individuals as well as running a gambling addiction service, alongside 8 years of private practice.

The main objective of the Practitioner Directory is to protect the public and help them find practitioners they can trust.

It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that AP Practitioner Members / Advanced Practitioner Members are committed to upholding our Standards of Conduct and Ethics.
