Psychotherapy for all addictions EFT (emotional freedom technique)

About me and my practice

Addiction is a cunning thief,

As it steals it plants distorted beliefs.

‘Just having a good time doesn’t cost a thing!’

Until you look closer at what it can bring…

Is your family dealing with the fallout of addiction?

If so, you are in the right place.

Addiction affects the whole family. It affects how you communicate, how you behave and how you feel.

Trust is often broken - so knowing who to reach out to can feel risky.

Turning to family and friends only leave you feeling more isolated and misunderstood.

Maybe you have tried self help groups, but they haven’t quite ‘hit the mark’.

Turning to the person you love with an addiction only leaves you feeling frustrated and mistrusting.

A safe place and a brave space.

I’ll help you navigate what you are going through with discretion and wisdom so that you can finally feel some relief from the chaos. Not only will it become a safe place for you, but a space where you can honestly share how you feel, without a fear of judgment.  I offer an online group community called Feeling Freedom which is specifically designed for those loving someone with an addiction and I also offer and one to one sessions.

I am always interested in you as a human, not as a ‘condition’ or ‘situation’ and will meet you with curiosity, respect, empathy and compassion.

Outline of offer

If you are a family member or friend  dealing with a loved one's addiction, I can help. I work with families before their loved one seeks treatment, during their time in rehab and once they have started their recovery journey. Here are the ways we can work together:

One to one therapy: Weekly or fortnightly sessions to guide you through. This is tailored to your specific needs so that you can start to feel validated and valued.

Feeling Freedom Programme: An online community which starts with a 12 week programme so that you can connect with and learn from others who understand what you are going through.

Weekly newsletter: My newsletter Permission to Feel explores the wisdom of emotions that can help us understand what we need and want.

The Therapeutic Poet Podcast: A podcast which discusses into our ‘human tricky things’ so that you feel less alone. Find out more here
