About me and my practice

Currently the Lead Nurse- Alcohol Care Team at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, Surrey.

Qualified RMN and specialised in addictions in 2006.

Finalist Team of the Year Nursing Times Award 2017 Chief Nurse of England Silver Award 2019 Winner HSJ Patient Safety Awards 2020- Changing Culture award Currently support to both inpatients and outpatients with alcohol use disorders including assessment and management of pre and post liver transplant patients.

I offer in house support as well as referral to community services, both statutory and voluntary. NCFE registered counselling skills Published data at BASl, EASL and AASLD Provide a virtual clinic for those seen for elective surgery.

Qualified as an RMN in 1999. Worked in general mental health including community, inpatient and forensic for 13 years.

Previously worked/managed an inpatient drug and alcohol service (Windmill House) 2006-2014.

Current Lead Nurse managing an alcohol liaison team in a general hospital 2014-current
