About me and my practice

Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer specialising in Addictions, based in Warminster in Wiltshire. I have experience in frontline drug services, residential rehabilitation and academia, and have worked as a counsellor in a number of settings since 1995. I have been in private practice since 2012.

Outline of offer

I offer 1-1 counselling, couples counselling, supervision in 1-1 or group settings, and bespoke training provision dependent on client requirement.

I have a certificate in counselling, Diploma in Addictions counselling, MSc in counselling and supervision and have completed a Doctorate in Health and Social Care Practice.

I have designed and developed my own model of supervision for addictions counsellors which formed the basis for my Doctoral thesis.

I have taught on counselling courses from FHEQ Level 2 to Level 7, and taught on the degree in Addictions Counselling offered by The University of Bath from 2004 - 2012.

Experience

I specialise in working with clients where their own addiction is an issue, as well as with family members of users, and I also specialise in working with clients where Autism is featured in the family dynamic. I also specialise in supervising students on counselling courses, both generic and addictions-specific.
