About me and my practice
I have almost twenty years experience working in a combination of substance use, mental health, offending and homelessness. This has involved individual work, groupwork, a variety of therapeutic approaches (Motivational Interviewing, SFT, SCM, CBT, DBT, EMDR), training and work as a lecturer practitioner with the University of Leeds.
Outline of offer
I work with service users to deal with the impact of trauma on their lives. I also work with staff teams providing training and reflective practice and with organisations to ensure their approach is psychologically informed.
Experience
I have worked for the for the NHS, private and third sector organisations. I have worked in secure hospitals, in a CMHT, in a PIPE probation hostel, as a trainer, a lecturer and alongside homelessness teams.
The main objective of the Practitioner Directory is to protect the public and help them find practitioners they can trust.
It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that AP Practitioner Members / Advanced Practitioner Members are committed to upholding our Standards of Conduct and Ethics. This is not a complete list of AP Practitioner/ Advanced Practitioner Members. If you want to search the whole directory, please use the search box in the menu. Practitioners who are accredited with the National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate have 'NCAC' after their names. Practitioners who have the Drug and Alcohol Professional Certificate have 'ADAP' after their names.
