About me and my practice
Nuno is a Trauma Informed Addictions Counsellor and Life Coach with more than 20 years of worldwide experience in working in the field of mental and behavioral health. Nunos practice is enhanced by continuous study and interest in approaches made to support and sustain change in human beings.

Experience
Prior to running my successful Private Practice, I worked with the most diverse settings, including The Kusnacht Practice (Switzerland), RAPt (England), Castle Craig Hospital (Scotland), Casas de Santiago (Portugal) and 1212 Ltd (Hong Kong). And was the leading figure at the UK Addiction Treatment Centers Group and guided the success of the addictions therapeutic programme until handing over this role in July 2021. I am regularly called upon by the media to offer an opinion, contributing to both national and international press titles including ITV, BBC, ITN, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and ICCTV. Contributions also include: quotes, chairing podcasts and views on prominent issues used by a number of websites and social media platforms.
The main objective of the Practitioner Directory is to protect the public and help them find practitioners they can trust.
It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that AP Practitioner Members / Advanced Practitioner Members are committed to upholding our Standards of Conduct and Ethics.
