Trauma-informed therapy, relapse prevention, and neurodivergent recovery support for adults and young people

About me and my practice

I am an experienced therapeutic practitioner, Executive Director of Wild Mind Well-Being CIC, and founder of Wild Minds Pro — a nature-based service supporting individuals through recovery, trauma, neurodivergence, and emotional overwhelm. I’ve been part of the recovery community since 2011, having walked my own path through addiction and into long-term sobriety. That lived experience has shaped not just my approach but my entire practice — offering grounded, compassionate support rooted in hope and honesty. I understand what it means to rebuild, to regulate, and to recover in your own time and in your own way. As someone who is also neurodivergent, I know first-hand the barriers people can face — from emotional dysregulation and masking, to misunderstanding and misdiagnosis. These personal and professional experiences have given me the strength, empathy, and determination to create safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental spaces where people can truly be themselves while they heal. My practice blends a Human Givens approach, trauma-informed coaching, and recovery-focused support, alongside nature, movement, and meaning. Whether you’re at the beginning of your journey or building a life beyond addiction, my approach is always collaborative, empowering, and grounded in what works.

Outline of offer

I offer integrative, trauma-informed support for individuals at all stages of recovery, with a focus on emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and neurodivergent needs. Sessions draw on Human Givens approach, guided imagery, psychoeducation, and recovery coaching. I work with adults and young people (aged 11+) through both individual and group sessions. My practice is based at Wild Mind Well-Being CIC — a nature-based setting in Buckinghamshire — and I also offer online sessions for those preferring remote access. My work is client-led, relational, and grounded in evidence-based approaches. I support people to build emotional resilience, reconnect with meaning and purpose, and feel safe enough to grow. Sessions may include goal setting, grounding techniques, education around addiction and brain function, and working with the Human Givens emotional needs framework to identify unmet needs and recovery blocks.

My specialisms include:

  • Addiction recovery and relapse prevention
  • Trauma and emotional dysregulation
  • Neurodivergent adults and young people (including ADHD/ASD)
  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and identity work
  • Drug and alcohol education for those at risk

Experience

I have over a decade of experience supporting individuals with complex emotional and behavioural needs, including those in recovery from addiction, young people at risk of exclusion, and neurodivergent clients navigating trauma, identity, and regulation challenges. From 2017–2019, I worked as Lead Therapist at the Positivity Sanctuary in High Wycombe, delivering 1:1 and group sessions to adults in addiction recovery. This role deepened my understanding of trauma-informed care, dual diagnosis, and the importance of flexible, human-centred approaches to healing. Since 2020, I have led Wild Mind Well-Being CIC — an alternative provision for young people aged 11–25. I created and now lead Wild Minds Pro a recovery service supporting adults and young people through addiction, relapse prevention, and emotional wellbeing. I work extensively with neurodivergent clients, many of whom have ADHD, autism, or trauma histories, and are at greater risk of addiction or self-medicating behaviours. Alongside my professional roles, I have been sober since 2011 and remain actively connected to the recovery community. This lived experience adds depth and authenticity to my work, helping me meet clients where they are with real understanding, not just theory.
