About me and my practice

A qualified and accredited practitioner based in West Sussex, with over two decades of experience working in substance misuse and complex needs. Having supported clients across a wide range of services, the practice now combines this frontline expertise with a professional, discreet approach to private work. Alongside individual support, there is a strong focus on empowering families and enhancing organisational practice through tailored training.

Outline of offer

Provides support through both online nationwide and face-to-face sessions within the local area. Services are tailored to individual needs, drawing on specialist knowledge and evidence-based approaches to support recovery and wellbeing. In addition to individual work, the practice also offers family support and training packages for organisations and professionals seeking to strengthen their response to substance misuse.

Experience

Over 27 years’ experience in the substance misuse field, working across community and specialist services. Skilled in client engagement, assessment, recovery planning, and long-term support, with a proven record of guiding individuals through all stages of recovery. Alongside direct client work, extensive experience in designing and delivering training programmes for staff teams, organisations, and professionals has helped improve awareness, practice, and outcomes in the field of addiction. Now established in private practice, offering a combination of one-to-one support, family interventions, and organisational training.

It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that AP Practitioner Members / Advanced Practitioner Members are committed to upholding our Standards of Conduct and Ethics. Practitioners who are accredited with the National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate have 'NCAC' after their names. Practitioners who have the Drug and Alcohol Professional Certificate have 'ADAP' after their names.
