I am a qualified social worker and founder of Options180 Ltd, which is a specialist parenting assessment and substance misuse community based resource. I work with families who are in crisis and in need of support to recover from addictions within this service as part of a multi-professional team. Myself and my team undertake a range of assessments and interventions which are based around the co-occurrence risk indicators - domestic abuse, substance misuse and mental health.
Outline of offer
I offer bespoke 1-1 parenting assessments and child impact risk assessments for parents who are in recovery or seeking recovery from substance misuse. I also deliver a structured day assessment and intervention community-based abstinence programme delivered over 12 weeks, along with my team. This programme is delivered over 5-days per week on a group basis with 1-1 key work/counselling offered by a qualified BACP registered in-house counsellor. A parenting assessment is provided as part of the service offer to minimise repetition for parents accessing more than one intervention. I also offer child contact supervisions to parents who are separated from their children and assist in oral drug/alcohol screening prior to session commencing as part of intervention. I deliver training online and face-to-face with practitioners to build their confidence and experience working creatively with families where substance misuse is a factor.Experience
I hold a 1st Class Criminal Justice Degree and qualification in Social Work - Diploma in Social Work and have over 23 years experience in the substance misuse field, both operationally as a practitioner and management as well as strategically in terms of middle/senior management. I presently specialise in developing innovative and creative service responses to children and families where parental substance misuse is a factor. I am familiar with NOS standards and consider myself to be a confident advanced practitioner in the area of substance misuse and recovery. The main objective of the Practitioner Directory is to protect the public and help them find practitioners they can trust.
