About me and my practice

I am a very experienced group facilitator helping people with short and long term sobriety. Its proven that Mutual Aid groups like SMART Recovery offer good support to long term emotional sobriety. I specialise in alcohol, drugs inc cocaine, etc. I use a mixture of CBT, Motivational Interviewing and uptodate Neuroscience methods.

Outline of offer

Looking for people to join a couple of well established groups with good attendance. We are looking for newcomers who would like to engage in weekly meetings, and learn long term sobriety from peers and an experienced Group Facilitator

Experience

Ten years with SMART Recovery in a variety of volunteer roles Masters ((PG) Addiction Counselling and Psychology LSBU 2020 Ongoing CPD to update skills and learn new practices One to one counselling for addiction probs Run three meetings a week on Zoom for the last nearly six years Started freelance recovery groups on line recently, with good attendance and process Recommendations from long term group attendees can be provided

It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that AP Practitioner Members / Advanced Practitioner Members are committed to upholding our Standards of Conduct and Ethics. Practitioners who are accredited with the National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate have 'NCAC' after their names. Practitioners who have the Drug and Alcohol Professional Certificate have 'ADAP' after their names.
