Medical and non-medical prescribers of opioid substitution therapy (OST) are invited to take part in an interview study investigating how co-occurring substance use is managed during treatment.
This includes evaluating the current practice of prescribing opioid substitute therapy (OST) medications and balancing risks to retain patients in treatment; and exploring harm reduction measures to mitigate drug interactions between OST and illicit substances in general, and between methadone and synthetic cannabinoids (or ‘spice’), a novel drug interaction that our research group at King’s College London previously identified. Participation will consist of a single 60-minute interview via MS Teams. If you are interested in participating, please contact Kirsten Rock.
